Los amantes de la fotografía antigua y de la historia de Madrid, podrán recrearse a partir del 31 de enero con la memoria visual que se expondrá en el Centro Cultural Conde Duque. En ella se recogen fotografías, secuencias y fragmentos de la vida de la urbe durante los años 1910 y 1935, en los que la capital sufrió una importante transformación a nivel urbanístico, así como muestras del día a día de la cuidad, con sus carros tirados por caballos, los primeros automóviles y los vecinos de la Villa de entonces, retratados en situaciones cotidianas. Esta exposición nos transportará a la época en la que se empezó a edificar el Madrid que hoy conocemos. 

¿Sabías que en esta época fue cuando se construyó la Gran Vía y algunos de los edificios más importantes de la capital como el Edificio Telefónica (1926-1929), o los cines Callao (1926-1927)?

Edificio Telefónica

Old photography and Madrid´s history lovers, will relish as of January the 31st with the visual memory which will be exposed at Conde Duque´s Cultural Centre. This exhibition collects photographs, sequences and fragments from Madrid´s evolution during the years 1910 and 1935, in which the capital suffered a major transformation at an urban level, as well as samples of the citizen’s day a day, with their carts pulled by horses, the first automobiles and the former village residents´ day a day life portraits. This exhibition will transport visitors to the era in which Madrid started to be the city that we know today.

Did you know that it was in that epoch when the Gran Vía started to be constructed, and when some of Madrid´s most important buildings were built, like the Edificio Telefónica (1926-1929), or the Callao Cinema (1926-1927)?

Where: Conde Duque street, 11, Madrid.

When: From the 14th of February to the 20th of April- hall 1. From Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm, and from 5:30 pm to 9 pm. Sundays and holidays form 10:30 am to 2 pm.
