¿Has probado las Baby Back Ribs del Tony Roma´s? Yo las descubrí no hace mucho en el que hay en el centro comercial la Esquina del Bernabéu y he de decir que me sorprendieron. Su carta se compone de cocina americana y tex mex, tipo hamburguesas, ensaladas contundentes o nachos pero, como reza su lema, son famosos por las costillas, plato por el cual han ganado muchos premios en distintos países, incluido el “The best ribs in America”, que ha sido suyo varios años desde la apertura de su primer restaurante en 1972. 

Las Baby Back Ribs, su plato estrella, se diferencian de la mayoría de las recetas por 3 cosas: se hacen al horno y no a la parrilla como la mayoría, se usa un costillar muy joven y por tanto más pequeño y más tierno que las normales y por último, la receta de la salsa BBQ de David Smith, el chef del primer restaurante Tony Roma´s en Miami, que sigue trabajando allí. Además de estas costillas, no hay que privarse de su torre de aros de cebolla, que se maceran durante 36 horas antes de servirlas… ¡los mejores aros que he probado! Como buen restaurante americano, no pueden faltar los postres como la tarta de queso, el brownie o el recomendado de la casa y de sus visitantes, el skillet Cookie Sudae, un postre de galleta, chocolate caliente y helado de vainilla servido bien calentito en una sartén.

Have you ever tried Tony Roma´s Baby Back Ribs? I discovered them not so long ago at the Esquina del Bernabéu Mall and I have to say that I was amazed. The menu of the Tony Roma´s consists on american and tex mex food like burgers, filling salads or nachos, but as their motto says, they are famous for ribs, which have won many awards in various countries, including the "The best ribs in America", which has been his several years since opening its first restaurant in 1972.

The Baby Back Ribs  their starring dish, differs from most of the recipes by 3 things: they are baked and not grilled like the majority, they use a very young brisket, therefore it´s smaller and more tender than normal and finally, David Smith´s sauce recipe, the first Tony Roma´s in Miami chef, who continues working there. In addition to these ribs, you should not be deprived of its tower of onion rings, which are macerated for 36 hours before serving... the best rings I've tried! As a good American restaurant, they cannot miss the desserts like cheesecake, brownie or the most recommended by the house and the visitors, the skillet Cookie Sudae, a dessert made of cookie, vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate served in a warm in saucepan.
